The Campus and Reception

JALTCALL2017 will be held at the Himata Campus of Matsuyama University, in beautiful Shikoku, Japan, from June 16th to 18th 2017.

The university website has detailed access information in Japanese, and a  simple map in English or just bookmark the Google Map. The closest rail station is JR Matsuyama. There is a tram line which runs from Matsuyama Station to the university. The nearest stop is called Teppou-cho (鉄砲町). It’s a five-minute walk from the tram stop to the conference site.

You can also download a PDF of the campus.

The Saturday reception will be at カルフール (Carrefour), #12 on the campus map below.

Important Information about Wifi

There are two WiFi possibilities: Ehime Free WiFi and Eduroam. Both are reliable, but Eduroam is more robust, so if your institution is a member of Eduroam, please make sure you have an individual log-in and password before arrival.
If delegates request to use the more robust Eduroam server they have to do 2 things.
First, check if their institute is a member of the network, check here.
Second, you have to register before coming to Matsuyama.

On accessing this second link you will be redirected to your local login institutions page after you wish you register with Eduroam by clicking on: 新規アカウント発行 or “register Eduroam account” if in English. You will be provided with a username and login details which must be used on arrival here in Matsuyama.

You CANNOT register for wifi on arrival here. This account has to be set up prior to arrival using the secure connection at your institute. If your home institute is not registered as a member of the Eduroam Global network, your only WiFi option will be Ehime Free WiFi.

Posters

Posters will be in room H2E. If you prepare an A1 size poster (594 x 841 mm), it can be attached to one of the whiteboards in the room using magnets or tape that we supply.
